Day 4: Restorative Home Practice
Motherhood! got in the way today – spent over an hour at the pool trying to register for lessons then came home to chores, laundry, dinner and kids… but! I did manage to sneak in a 20 minute restorative home practice. So I’d say the commitment was there. Meditation: Letting go of home and family stress, relaxing
Day 5: Bikram Style
It’s the weekend which means I could do my Bikram class in the morning. That is a great way to start your day! Although – it’s afternoon now – and I’m crashing a bit. Someone advised me to up my electrolytes for Bikram Yoga – so I drank half a Vitamin Water before class and had a few sips of Gatorade after. With all the athletic pursuits in this family and Florida heat, we have been increasing our intake of drinks with electrolytes. Class was lovely – there were 22 students in the class and by the end, 6 had walked out. It was hot! The man next to me couldn’t breathe well, said there was no air movement. It was my 3rd Bikram style class in 5 days and I think I am getting the hang of it. Things I used to hate (I was a Bikram Yoga Hater) now seem not so bad, and maybe I can even see the benefits. End of class was even filled with joy and a bit nirvana-like. Success! Meditation: A peaceful heart and feeling huge gratitude for all the many blessings in my life.
